99 NAMES OF ALLAH SWT
ASMA-UL-HUSNA

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ .
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Allah has ninety-nine names, i.e. one-hundred minus one, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise.”
(Sahih Bukhari 50:894)
Asma ul Husna, also known as the “99 Beautiful Names of Allah,” is a collection of divine names and attributes of Allah in Islam. These names are considered to be a way of understanding Allah’s essence and attributes and serve as a means of reflection and contemplation for Muslims.The list of Asma ul Husna is not mentioned in the Quran but has been compiled from various Hadiths (Prophetic traditions) and is widely accepted by the majority of Islamic scholars.
Reciting Asma ul Husna is a common practice in Islamic spirituality and can be done in many ways, such as through daily dhikr (remembrance of Allah), as part of daily prayers, or as a standalone practice. It is believed to bring blessings, peace, and closeness to Allah.
The 99 Names and Attributes of Allah (SWT) – Al-Asma-ul-Husna ( اَلاسْمَاءُ الْحُسناى ) In Islam there are Five pillars and the First pillar in which is Belief and as Muslims, we believe in Allah in accordance with His beautiful names and attributes.
Learning ALLAH (SWT) beautiful names is one of the ways or say the key to Paradise and in our Prayers we should ask for Paradise. If we learn the names of ALLAH (SWT) and try our best to live by these beautiful names, then ALLAH (SWT) will grant us Jannah (Paradise) by his Mercy. Learning these beautiful names of ALLAH (SWT) helps us to come closer to Him.
We the Muslims should work on ways to increase our knowledge, love, and devotion to ALLAH SWT. So, keeping this in mind I have started a new series in which I will try sharing blogs on the beautiful 99 names of ALLAH SWT.
In conclusion, Asma ul Husna serves as a tool for Muslims to reflect on the attributes of Allah and deepen their connection with the Divine. By reciting and contemplating these names, the Asma ul Husna is an important aspect of Islamic spirituality and serves as a means for Muslims to deepen their connection with Allah and strive to live a life in accordance with divine attributes.
